Morena district on the Agra-Delhi National Highway 44, leaving at least 30 passengers injured, according to police reports on Tuesday. Among the injured, a dozen are reported to be in serious condition.
The accident occurred near Sikroda canal in the Civil Lines police station area of Morena district. The bus was filled with devotees heading to Mehandipur from Gwalior. Alok Singh Parihar, an officer at the local police station, stated, “It is yet to be determined why the bus overturned. As many as 36-40 people were injured in the accident. The injured were admitted to the district hospital, where they are receiving the necessary treatment.”
Upon receiving information about the accident, a team from Morena Police rushed to the scene to assist. All injured passengers were transported to the Morena district hospital for medical attention.
Dr. Surendra Gurjar, the resident medical officer at the district hospital, said, “The bus overturned near Sikroda canal. About 25 injured passengers were brought here. We have started their primary treatment. Our doctors, nurses, and medical attendants are providing them all the necessary care.”
