The Budget session of Gujarat Assembly will start from 1 March. A number of reform bills, including the one on ‘Love Jihad’, is likely to be introduced in the House during the 24-day session. This Budget session, however, is likely to be tumultuous.

On the first day of the session, Governor Acharya Devvrat will address the House. And then the tribute will be paid to two former Chief Ministers of the state Keshubhai Patel and Madhavsinh Solanki in the house.

It must be mentioned that after the Governor’s address, the Motion of Thanks will be debated for three days. While the general discussion of the Budget will last for 5 days. There are reports that 12 days have been allotted for discussion on Budget demands, in which there is a possibility of commotion in the Assembly by the ruling party and the Opposition.

The state government will introduce other amendment bills in the House, including the Love Jihad, while the CAG’s audit report will also be presented in this Budget session.
