Budget 2024: Stock Markets Open Higher On Budget Day

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is about to deliver the inaugural Budget for the third consecutive NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On Tuesday, the stock markets opened on a positive note, driven by financial and public sector companies, as investors anticipate policy announcements in the Budget. The NSE Nifty 50 increased by 0.24% to 24,568.9, while the S&P BSE Sensex rose by 0.28% to 80,724.3, as of 9:15 a.m. IST.
