The BSF Wives Welfare Association (BWWA) Center Inaugurated at BSF Campus Lakhnaur by Mrs. Ruchira Khurania, Head of BWWA Western Command. Mrs. Ruchira Khurania, the Head of BWWA Western Command, inaugurated the BSF Wives Welfare Association (BWWA) centre at the BSF campus in Lakhnaur. The ceremony was attended by Executive Committee members and other BWWA members from Mohali and Chandigarh. The newly established BWWA centre features a multi-purpose activity hall aimed at enhancing the welfare of its members.
During her address to the audience, Mrs. Ruchira Khurania emphasized that BWWA represents a unique bond that unites Prahari Sanginis, making a significant contribution to the community. As part of the event, Veeranganas (widows) of BSF personnel who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty were honored, receiving shawls from the BWWA head.
BWWA Chandigarh, an extension of the BSF Wives Welfare Association, is a registered society with the Registrar of Societies in Delhi, established in 1992, with the spouse of DG BSF serving as its president. The primary objective of BWWA is to promote the welfare of all serving and retired members of BSF and their families.
This includes facilitating the rehabilitation of Veeranganas by providing financial assistance, employment opportunities, scholarships/education loans to their wards, and offering vocational training to the kith and kin of force personnel for their overall development.
