A horrifying incident of a gang rape unfolded in the Verka area as a 15-year-old girl, a ninth-grade student, was forcibly taken to a field while jogging and subjected to a brutal sexual assault by four assailants. The victim was later admitted to the Civil Hospital in Ferozepur.

According to the victim’s statement to the police, she attends a government school and, as part of her routine, goes jogging on the village road every morning to participate in a competition after reaching the tenth grade. On the day of the incident, she left her house around 5 a.m. to jog.

As she reached approximately half a kilometer from the village, the accused, already present there, forcibly grabbed her with ill intentions. One of the accused, identified as Luvpreet Singh, alias Lalboo, forced a bottle containing a narcotic substance into her mouth, rendering her unconscious. The assailants then engaged in indecent acts with her. When she resisted, they forcibly took her to a nearby field and gang-raped her. All the accused were known residents of the village.

The victim’s father revealed that the way the accused administered a drink inducing unconsciousness indicates a premeditated plan to commit indecent acts with his daughter. After the assault, the perpetrators callously left the victim unconscious outside her home and fled. The Mamdot Police Station has registered a case against the accused, namely Luvpreet Singh alias Lalboo, son of Meeta Singh, Pamma Singh, son of Karnail Singh, Jaspreet Singh alias Jassa, son of Jangir Singh, and Gurmeet Singh, son of Chhinda Singh. Police are conducting raids at various locations to apprehend the accused.
