Amritsar’s Durgiana Temple faces a new bomb threat as unidentified individual issues a warning by phone. Subsequently, a significant police presence responds, resulting in the area’s closure. Khalistani extremist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu had previously threatened to bomb the holy site, demanding access to the keys of Shri Harmandir Sahib. Non-compliance, he cautioned, would lead to a bomb attack on the shrine.

Earlier, Pannu had issued threats against Hindu temples nationwide following the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Amritsar Police has filed charges against Gurpatwant Singh Pannu under IPC sections 153-A, 153-B, 505, and 66.
