Several shopping malls and establishments in the national capital received bomb threat emails on Tuesday, prompting swift action by the Delhi Police. Among the locations targeted were Chanakya Mall, Select CityWalk, Ambience Mall, DLF Mall, Cinepolis, Pacific Mall, Primus Hospital, and Unity Group, according to police sources.

The threatening emails warned, “The explosive will go off in a few hours,” causing immediate concern among mall authorities, who quickly alerted the Delhi Police. Following the reports, bomb disposal squads and fire tenders were dispatched to the sites. As of now, no explosives have been found.

A senior police officer stated that the pattern of these emails is similar to previous threats, with no specific timelines mentioned. The emails were sent to multiple locations, and an investigation is currently underway to trace the source.

This incident follows a recent bomb threat on August 17 at Ambience Mall in Gurugram, where authorities conducted a thorough search but found nothing suspicious. Gurugram police had received an email stating a bomb had been planted in the mall. Despite extensive searches by bomb squads, dog units, and SWAT teams, no explosives were discovered. Cyber teams are still working to identify the sender of that email.

Earlier, on August 2, a school in Delhi’s Greater Kailash area received a similar email threatening a bomb explosion. Following an investigation, no explosives were found, and legal action was initiated against those responsible.

Delhi Police and security agencies are on high alert, with further investigations ongoing into the latest threats. More details are awaited as authorities work to ensure public safety.
