The Payyannur police on Tuesday told that a crude bomb was hurled at Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s (RSS) office in Payyannur in Kannur district.
The incident occurred in the early morning hours at around 1:30 am. Meanwhile, nobody was injured in the attack. Just the glasses of a window on the front side of the office were shattered.
“A bomb was hurled at the RSS office in Payyannur, Kannur district. The incident happened early this morning with the window glass of the building broken in the attack,” said Payyannur police.
According to the police officer, the CCTV footage of the area was being examined and the numbers of attackers is not yet known.
Furthermore, the relevant provisions of the Explosives Act FIR have been registered and further investigation into the matter is underway. However, further details about the incident are awaited.
