Vicky Kaushal’s latest historical action movie, ‘Chhaava’ directed by Laxman Utekar, shined at the box office with 50 crore earnings on its first day worldwide. This film was released on Friday.
It has been produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, officially setting a new record for the biggest opening for a historical Hindi film. This news is confirmed by the makers on Saturday.
‘Chhaava’ as New Trend
The story of the movie revolves around the Maratha warrior king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The ‘Chhaava’ movie is derived from the famous Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant.
The titular character is Vicky Kaushal, and the supporting cast includes Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Diana Penty, Ashutosh Rana, and Vineet Kumar Singh.
This film showcases the aftermath of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s passing on the Mughal court and the entire spirit of Maratha resistance.
While domestic collections hit Rs 33.1 crore net, this is part of the reason the global earnings came to Rs 50 crore. Maddock Films took to social media to state, “Yeh ‘Yeh Chhaava ki dahaad hai.
