Property owned by actor and current BJP member Sunny Deol has been put up for auction by the state-owned Bank of Baroda in an effort to raise 56 crore through an e-auction that will take place on August 25.
The Gurdaspur MP’s most recent movie, Gaddar 2, is a box office success, having earned over Rs 300 crore since its release last week. Sunny Deol has been in default on a Rs 55.99 crore loan from the bank, plus interest and penalty, since December 2022, the second largest state-owned lender said in a public tender on Sunday.
The bank has set the reserve price for the auction at Rs. 51.43 crore.
Sunny Villa, which is attached, is located on Gandhigram Road in the exclusive Juhu neighbourhood of the megacity.
