Starting small, the aerial action film *Sky Force* followed debutant Veer Pahariya)ricahay Kumar’s opening soared strong over the weekend. The movie enjoyed strong increases on Saturday and kept up pace on Sunday, finishing its first weekend on a high note. Passing the Monday test will be key for guaranteeing a long box office run.
Sky Force Box Office Collection Day 3
Day one for a movie of its magnitude found Sky Force taking off at ₹12.25 crore, which was slightly less exciting. It did rebound very strongly with a good 80% growth on Saturday and a take of ₹22 crore. With the movie racking up another ₹27.50 crore on Sunday according to Sacnilk, its weekend domestic nett total starting sharply at ₹61.75 crore. While the makers raked in more than ₹40 crore in the first two days, the final weekend collection may be closer to ₹70 crore.
The movie has done fairly well abroad, making $600K in its first two days and adding more than ₹5 crore to total revenue. Still, as with most Akshay Kumar-driven movies, the vast bulk of its revenues are projected to arise from the Indian market.
The movie is doing well with the weekend going up due to good word of mouth and very positive reviews by experts. There is a decent chance that it will hold over its first week pretty well, if it doesn’t take too big of a hit on its first Monday, so it could be shaping up its lifetime box office potential pretty well.
