Shahid Kapoor commented on the shocking stabbing incident involving his *Rangoon* co-star, Saif Ali Khan, who was attacked by an intruder at his Bandra home. Khan, 54, suffered six stab wounds, including one to his neck, during the attack that occurred around 2:30 am on Thursday. He was promptly taken to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery, and doctors have stated that he is currently out of danger.
Shahid Kapoor expressed his worries for Saif, saying, “We hope Saif‘s health improves. We wish he is feeling better. We are all stunned by what occurred to him in a private space. It’s hard to digest in a city like Mumbai. I’m confident the police are doing their utmost…” He also added, “Mumbai is a very secure city. When family members or women go out at 2 am, it’s still safe. It’s a startling event. We are hoping and praying for his swift recovery. We continually hope and pray for him. ”
The two actors, who have worked together on Rangoon, were deeply affected by the incident. At the trailer launch of his upcoming movie Deva, Kapoor responded to a reporter’s question about handling celebrity assaults in his role as a police officer, stating, “What you are mentioning is a tragic occurrence. We are all very concerned in the community. You asked me indirectly. If you had asked me directly, I would appreciate it more. ”
Meanwhile, Khan is recovering in a private room after being moved from the ICU, and Mumbai police have arrested a suspect in connection with the assault.
