Actor Shah Rukh Khan has endorsed the forthcoming World Audio Visual Entertainment (WAVES) 2025 conference, expressing his appreciation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal for the media and entertainment sector. Shah Rukh shared his opinions on X, emphasising the event’s importance in encouraging creativity and honouring the efforts of the industry.
Reflecting on PM Modi’s announcement, Shah Rukh wrote, “I eagerly look forward to WAVES, a global film and entertainment summit hosted in India. This event celebrates our industry’s vital role in the economy and its global influence as a soft power, while promoting creativity.”

PM Modi announced WAVES conference in his monthly radio show, the 117th edition of “Mann Ki Baat.” He emphasized India’s pride in its entertainment industry and its potential to become a global hub for content creation. The summit aims to bring together prominent figures from the media and entertainment sector, along with young creators, to highlight India’s creative strengths on an international stage.
PM Modi remarked, “For the first time, India will host the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit, a significant step in establishing the country as a hub for global content creation. Giants from the creative world and young talents will participate in this transformative event.”
