The eagerly awaited teaser for Salman Khan’s upcoming action film Sikandar was initially scheduled to release on his 59th birthday, December 27. However, in light of the recent demise of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the makers have decided to delay its launch. AR Murugadoss’ directorial, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, will now release its teaser on December 28 at 11:07 a.m.

Announcing the change, the production house shared a statement on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle: “In light of the passing of our esteemed former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Ji, we regret to announce that the release of the Sikandar teaser has been postponed. He was a well-known politician in India who led the country for two terms as prime minister from 2004 to 2014 and was instrumental in putting the revolutionary New Economic Policy of 1991 into practice. Singh is a highly esteemed politician and economist whose contributions continue to influence India’s economic environment.
