YouTube influencers Ashish Chanchlani and Ranveer Allahbadia have reached out to Maharashtra Cyber Cell officials, expressing their willingness to record their statements in the India’s Got Latent vulgar remark case.

Mumbai police have summoned both individuals to participate in the investigation and provide their statements.

Ranveer Allahbadia’s controversial “join parents in sex” remark on comedian Samay Raina’s YouTube show sparked widespread outrage. The issue even reached Parliament, where MPs demanded stricter regulations on online content.

Although Allahbadia had apologized for his comments, the controversy continued to escalate.

Meanwhile, Samay Raina, who is currently abroad, announced on X that he had removed all India’s Got Latent episodes from his YouTube channel.

SC slams Allahbadia

Last week, the Supreme Court strongly condemned Ranveer Allahbadia for his vulgar remarks on the show, stating that such conduct must not be tolerated.

“Such behaviour has to be condemned. Just because you are popular, you cannot take society for granted. Is there anyone on earth who would like this language? There is something very dirty in his mind which has been vomited. Why should we protect him,” the court remarked, as reported by Bar and Bench.

Justice Surya Kant criticized the remarks, describing them as a reflection of “the perverted mind.” He further stated, “The words you have chosen, parents will be ashamed, sisters will be ashamed. The entire society will feel ashamed. The perverted mind. The perversion you and your henchmen have exhibited! We have a judicial system, bound by the rule of law. If there are threats (against Allahbadia), the law will take course,” as quoted by Live Law.

Despite its criticism, the court granted Allahbadia protection from arrest. It also directed him to submit his passport and refrain from traveling abroad without prior approval.
