Rajinikanth Treated For Heart Vessel Swelling: Discharge In 48 Hours

Superstar Rajinikanth was admitted to Apollo Hospitals in Chennai on Monday evening, causing concern among his fans. A recent statement from the hospital has provided clarity on his condition, assuring fans of his quick recovery.

Rajinikanth’s Health Update

On September 30, 2024, Rajinikanth was admitted to Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road, Chennai. According to a press release from the hospital, the actor had a swelling in his aorta, the main blood vessel leading from the heart. This condition was treated using a non-surgical method called transcatheter endovascular repair. Senior interventional cardiologist Dr. Sai Satish performed the procedure by placing a stent in the aorta, successfully sealing off the swelling.

The hospital confirmed that the procedure went smoothly, and Rajinikanth is stable. “He is doing well and should be home in two days,” the statement read, reassuring the actor’s well-wishers.

Health Minister’s Statement

Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian also addressed the media, providing further details. Speaking to PTI, he explained that Rajinikanth had gone to the hospital for a routine check-up. The actor was initially scheduled for a morning check-up but was admitted the previous night due to his celebrity status. “He is doing well and will return home soon,” the minister added.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin also extended his wishes for Rajinikanth’s speedy recovery on X (formerly Twitter).

Coolie boasts another stellar cast, including Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, and Upendra.
