The wait is finally over! The long-awaited trailer of Raid 2 has been released, and it’s an engrossing mix of action, drama, and fierce face-offs. With Ajay Devgn returning in his authoritative role as Income Tax officer Amay Patnaik, the sequel raises the stakes, paving the way for a bitter confrontation with Riteish Deshmukh’s new villainous persona.
Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 capitalizes on the huge success of the first installment and returns with the same signature intensity of the original but ups the ante with new characters and a darker, richer plot. The trailer doesn’t waste any time in setting up the central conflict—Devgn’s unyielding lawman against Deshmukh’s affable but crooked politician, Dadabhai.

The visuals are chock-full of intensity, featuring exciting tax raids, political confrontations, and tearful confrontations. Devgn’s unflappable but authoritative screen presence as Patnaik is again to the fore, while Riteish Deshmukh has a surprise and menacing turn as a menacing villain, a welcome departure from his comic turn as a force to be reckoned with.

Riteish plays the role of power-seeking political leader Dadabhai, exuding charm and ulterior motive along with calculated malice. His performance as the character is all set to be one of the biggest plusses of the film. The interaction and tension between the two leading actors suggest the promise of an edge-of-your-seat experience for viewers.
Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, Raid 2 is a presentation of Panorama Studios and Gulshan Kumar, and T-Series. The movie is releasing on a grand note on May 1, 2025.
