She recounted the moment when director Mani Ratnam requested her to cleanse her face and remove all makeup. With humor, Preity recounted the exchange, stating, “But sir… my makeup will come off, I said smiling …. That’s exactly what I want… Pls wash your face…. He smiled back. I thought he was joking …. Then I realised he was not !!!
