Patricia Arquette and Tom Felton have been cast in the upcoming horror thriller They Will Kill You, produced by Nocturna Pictures. This new horror label, launched earlier this year by Skydance and the creators of It, Andy and Barbara Muschietti, is leading the project, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
New Line Cinema will co-finance and handle the film’s distribution, with Kirill Sokolov set to direct once production starts in mid-September. The movie stars Zazie Beetz as the lead character, who answers a help-wanted ad for a housekeeper position in a mysterious New York City high-rise. She soon discovers that the building has a dark history of disappearances and may be connected to a Satanic cult.
They Will Kill You is described as a horror film with a touch of black humor, reminiscent in tone to films like Ready or Not and The Raid. Arquette, celebrated for her Academy Award-winning role in Boyhood and her recent work on Apple TV+’s Severance, will play the head of the building’s co-op. Felton, best known for his role as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter series, will portray a member of the cult.
The film’s script is written by Sokolov and Alex Litvak. Producers include David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger from Skydance, along with the Muschiettis and Dan Kagan, who previously worked on the horror film Longlegs. Executive producers are Russell Ackerman and John Schoenfelder from Nocturna, alongside Sokolov, Litvak, and Carl Hampe.
