Pankaj Tripathi: ‘I’m About Real Work, Not Fake PR And Paparazzi Buzz’

Actor Pankaj Tripathi has shared his views on managing his public image and the role of PR in Bollywood. He believes that while public relations can keep him in the limelight, it won’t make him memorable.

Tripathi, 49, emphasized that focusing too much on maintaining an image can lead to a lifetime of stress. “If you get caught up in creating an image, you’ll be stuck chasing it forever,” he says. He prefers to be remembered for his work and the characters he plays rather than through PR efforts. “I can become popular with PR, but I can only be truly memorable through my work and behavior,” he explains.

Tripathi also expressed his views on the current trend of celebrities being photographed frequently, especially at airports and gyms. He admitted he doesn’t like the paparazzi culture but acknowledges that it’s now a part of popular culture and film promotions. “I don’t enjoy being photographed often; I prefer to disappear from time to time,” he says.

When asked about changes he’d like to see in the film industry, Tripathi shared that he’d rather focus on changing himself than trying to change the industry. “People can do whatever they like,” he concludes.
