OMG-2 film’s director sent legal notice to hurt public emotions

Priest Mahesh Sharma of Mahakal temple objected to OMG-2 film. He has filed a complaint to collector in public hearing and also notice sent by the lawyer to the film director. He has demanded to remove the shot of Mahakal temple from the film or he warned to protest.

The priests of Mahakal temple have sent a legal notice to the film makers of the film Oh My God-2. Along with this, the collector has complained in the public hearing that the film should not be allowed to be screened in Ujjain. Actually, a complaint has been made here on the banner of All India Pujari Mahasangh.

Mahesh Sharma, the priest of the Mahakal temple, says that the form of Lord Shiva has been wrongly shown in the film. He is shown buying Kachori from the shop in the market. This hurts the devotees of Lord Shiva. OMG-2 is slated to release in theaters on August 11.

The Censor Board has given the film an A certificate.That is, people under 18 years of age will not be able to see it. On this, the priests of Mahakal temple say that it seems that there are obscene scenes in this film. Such scenes are not acceptable with Mahakal temple. The notice has been sent to film director Amit Rai, producers Vipul Shah and Chandraprakash Dwivedi, actor Akshay Kumar besides Censor Board Chairman Prasoon Kumar Joshi. The High Court lawyer Abhilash Vyas has sent this notice on behalf of All India Pujari Mahasangh.

It has been said in the notice that the derogatory scenes should be removed within 24 hours of receiving the letter. Apologize publicly. Failure to do so will result in an appeal for cancellation of the film’s certificate. They will file a case for hurting religious sentiments and demand a ban on the film’s release in Ujjain.  Priest Mahesh Sharma said, wrong portrayal of Lord Shiva in this film will hurt the sentiments of his devotees.
