Newly-Wed Radhika Wears Hand-Painted Lehenga By Artist Jayasri Burman

Radhika Merchant made a stunning debut as an Ambani bahu, dressed in a hand-painted pink lehenga crafted in collaboration with artist Jayasri Burman and designers Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.

Inspiration Behind The Lehenga

Announcing on Instagram, her stylist Rhea Kapoor explained, “To bring Jayasri’s painting to life, the lehenga’s 12 panels feature hand-painted designs on special Italian canvas. Inspired by Jayasri’s mythical style, the garment celebrates Anant and Radhika’s union with meaningful imagery.”

Rhea Kapoor further described that human figures on the lehenga symbolize the joyous couple, radiating a celestial aura that honors their divinity. Meanwhile, the fauna, including elephants—an auspicious and beautiful symbol dear to Anant—highlight his affinity for animals.

The lehenga showcases meticulous craftsmanship with real gold Zardozi embroidery and sequins. Radhika paired it with a blouse entirely embroidered in Resham.

‘Abu Sandeep Are Artists’

In her comments on the collaboration, Jayasri Burman remarked, “Abu Sandeep are artists. The only difference is their canvas is couture, mine is literal canvas. Rhea and Abu Sandeep gave me complete creative freedom, understanding my essence as an artist. My brush danced freely on the canvas. I hope it brings a smile to Radhika’s face and perhaps hangs on her wall someday!”

Burman expressed her honor in contributing to a collaboration that merges hand-embroidery with art, emphasizing that art and fashion are intertwined—a perfect tribute to Anant and Radhika.

Reflecting on Radhika’s elegance, Abu Sandeep stated, “Radhika is a stunning young lady; her smile lights up the room! Our aim was to make her the happiest bride with this ensemble.”

Accessories And Final Look

Radhika accessorized her look with diamond and emerald jewelry, including a heavy neckpiece, matching earrings, maang tikka, and a tasseled bracelet. Lotus buds adorned her hair, set atop a pink tissue veil. Her dewy makeup, smokey eyes, and radiant smile added to her overall charm.
