National Cinema Day 2024: Watch Movies At Just ₹99, Find Out How And When!

National Cinema Day 2024 is scheduled for Friday, September 20, offering movie lovers the chance to enjoy films at an exceptionally low price of ₹99 per ticket. The Multiplex Association of India (MAI) has collaborated with cinemas across the country to make this special day possible. Over 4,000 cinema halls, including prominent chains such as PVR INOX, Cinepolis, Miraj, Citypride, Asian, Mukta A2, Movie Time, Wave, M2K, and Delite, are participating in the event. However, it’s important to note that the ₹99 ticket offer does not extend to premium formats like IMAX, 4DX, or recliner seats.

Celebrating Cinematic Success

In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), the MAI expressed that National Cinema Day is a celebration of the year’s cinematic achievements and a gesture of appreciation to moviegoers who have supported the film industry. The event is also seen as an opportunity to welcome back audiences who haven’t visited their local cinemas recently. The MAI added that exciting deals on food and beverages will be available, though specific details will need to be checked on the websites and social media pages of participating cinemas.

Booking Details and Movie Lineup

Tickets for National Cinema Day can be purchased both online and offline. Online bookings can be made through popular platforms like BookMyShow and Paytm, as well as directly on the websites of the participating multiplexes. Details regarding additional offers on tickets, food, and beverages will be displayed at the theatres or on their digital channels.

This year’s lineup includes a diverse selection of films such as Transformers One, Never Let Go, Yudhra, Stree 2, Tumbbad, Veer Zara, Kahan Shuru Kahan Khatam, and The Buckingham Murders. With a variety of genres from action to romance and drama, National Cinema Day promises to cater to all tastes.

A Tradition of Cinematic Appreciation

National Cinema Day was first introduced by the MAI in 2022 as a way to celebrate the reopening of theaters following the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative aimed to offer substantial discounts to film enthusiasts while supporting cinema owners who faced significant losses during the lockdowns.

Mark your calendars for September 20 and take advantage of this unique opportunity to experience the magic of movies on the big screen at a bargain price!
