Speaking on the Raw Talks With VK podcast, Chaitanya said that he and his wife chose to go their separate ways for their reasons and respect each other‘s decision. They are moving forward in their way. I don‘t understand what more explanation is needed. I hope the audience and media will respect that. We have requested privacy—please honor that. The actor said he and Samantha “moved on graciously” from their marriage but are still being treated “like a criminal“ by some of his fans. “Both of us have moved on with grace and are living our own lives. I have found love again and am truly happy. We respect each other. This isn‘t something special to me, so why am I being treated like a criminal?
Chaitanya said that the divorce was ‘for the betterment of everyone involved’ and termed it ‘a well-thought-out and conscious decision.
