Mira Rajput, Shahid Kapoor Snap Selfie With T20 Champ Surya Kumar Yadav

Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira Rajput shared a photo from her meeting with T20 World Cup champion Surya Kumar Yadav at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s sangeet ceremony on Friday night.

In an Instagram Stories post on Saturday, Mira posted a picture featuring herself, Shahid Kapoor, Surya Kumar Yadav, and his wife Devisha Shetty. The group is seen smiling brightly as they pose for the camera. Mira humorously captioned the photo, “Our son thinks we are very cool now.”

Surya Kumar Yadav also shared the same picture on his Instagram Stories, expressing his excitement about meeting Mira and Shahid’s son. He wrote, “Haha. Looking forward to seeing him.”

Surya Kumar Yadav played a key role for India during the T20 World Cup, scoring 199 runs in eight games at an average of 28.42, with two half-centuries and making significant contributions in tough matches. He also impressed with his fielding throughout the tournament.

Regarding the grand sangeet ceremony, it was attended by numerous celebrities, sports personalities, and other well-known figures including Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Disha Patani, Mouni Roy, Ananya Panday, Sonam Bajwa, MS Dhoni, Vidya Balan, Sonali Bendre, Varun Dhawan with his wife, and Atlee, among many others.

The wedding between Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant is scheduled to take place at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai on July 12. As part of the wedding festivities, Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani organized a mass wedding for underprivileged individuals on July 2 at Swami Vivekanand Vidyamandir in Palghar. On July 3, they hosted a spectacular Mameru ceremony, a Gujarati wedding tradition where the bride’s maternal uncle visits her with sweets and gifts.

The wedding celebrations are meticulously planned, following traditional Hindu Vedic customs. The main ceremonies will commence on Friday, July 12, with the auspicious Shubh Vivah or wedding function. Guests are encouraged to embrace the occasion by dressing in traditional Indian attire.

The celebrations will continue on Saturday, July 13, with Shubh Aashirwad. The final event, Mangal Utsav or the wedding reception, is scheduled for Sunday, July 14. Guests have been requested to attire in ‘Indian chic’ for the occasion.

Radhika Merchant, daughter of Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant and entrepreneur Shaila Merchant, is set to join the Ambani family, marking a union of two prominent industrialist families.

Earlier this year, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant hosted a series of pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar, which attracted a star-studded guest list from around the globe. The event was graced by business leaders, heads of state, and celebrities from Hollywood and Bollywood. Notable guests included Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, and Ivanka Trump.
