“Marriages Don’t Last That Long”: Nimrat Kaur Makes A Playful Remark On Abhishek Bachchan’s Marriage In An Old Interview

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have recently been in the spotlight due to speculations surrounding their marriage. The rumors began when the couple arrived separately at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding in July this year, sparking talk that their relationship might be facing challenges. However, both Abhishek and Aishwarya have chosen to stay silent, declining to address these unverified claims.

Amidst the speculation, an old interview from 2022 has resurfaced online, where Abhishek speaks warmly about his marriage to Aishwarya. The couple, who married in 2007 and shares a daughter, Aaradhya, has been together for 17 years. In the interview, Abhishek sat down with his ‘Dasvi’ co-star, Nimrat Kaur, for a chat with Bollywood Hungama, where the topic of marriage came up.

During the conversation, when the interviewer mentioned that he had also completed 15 years of marriage, Abhishek responded with a “touch wood” and added, “Damn good, yaar.” Nimrat Kaur then playfully remarked, “Marriages don’t last that long,” which made Abhishek laugh. He responded with a simple, “Thanks.” Nimrat quickly clarified, saying, “It was a compliment for you.”

But the conversation didn’t stop there. Abhishek went on to express his admiration for Aishwarya, acknowledging her as a constant source of support throughout their marriage. “I think it’s high time we acknowledge that women are the superior species compared to men,” he remarked, adding that Aishwarya has an incredible ability to put things into perspective.

Abhishek explained how Aishwarya, with her vast experience in the industry, always knows when he needs support after a tough day and when to give him space. He fondly shared how she helps maintain balance and encourages him to focus on the positives, especially when dealing with negative comments. “I’m very lucky to have a partner who sets things straight for me,” Abhishek said.
