Kriti Sanon had a fantastic 2024, with films like Teri Baaton Main Aisa Uljha Jiya and Crew, which was a success, along with her OTT debut in Do Patti, which received critical acclaim and good appreciation from the audience.
During her recent conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia, Kriti expressed her opinion about the current award shows. She felt they had transformed from a genuinely meaningful ceremony to one led more by PR. Recalling the days of yore during the ’90s, she said, “Earlier, there were just two-three award functions. Today, every portal has its own, and I often wonder how much it actually matters. It’s all about PR now.”
She also discussed the longing for a time when genuine skill was valued more and glamour was less prominent. Kriti discussed how actresses used to get ready for award shows without the scrutiny of designer labels or criticism by dressing casually, sometimes in jeans and T-shirts. Kriti stated that award shows would be one of the things she would alter if she could alter the existing entertainment sector.
Despite not having made an official announcement about her upcoming projects, Kriti Sanon’s future in the film industry is bright. Given the fact that 2024 has been a successful year for her in terms of commercial success as well as critical appreciation, much is expected from her in the future. Fans and industry insiders are all keen to know what she is going to do next, especially after such a fabulous debut as a producer with Do Patti and subsequent success in both mainstream cinema and OTT.
