Kamal Haasan Steps Down As Host Of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8

Actor Kamal Haasan will not be returning as the host of the upcoming season of the reality show Bigg Boss Tamil. On Tuesday, he announced his departure from the show, citing prior professional commitments as the reason for his decision.

Kamal Haasan took to X to share the news with his fans. In his heartfelt statement, he expressed regret over taking a break from his Bigg Boss journey, which began seven years ago. He wrote, “With a heavy heart, I wish to inform you that I will be taking a small break from our journey that began seven years ago. Due to prior cinematic commitments, I am unable to host the upcoming season of Bigg Boss Tamil.”

Haasan expressed gratitude to the fans, adding, “I have been privileged to reach you in your homes. You have showered me with your love and affection, for which you have my everlasting gratitude. Your spirited and passionate support of the contestants is at the core of what makes Bigg Boss Tamil one of the best television reality shows in India.”

Reflecting on His Journey

In his message, Kamal Haasan reflected on his time as the host of the show, saying, “Personally, being your host has been an enriching association where I have honestly shared my learnings. I will always be grateful for this learning experience. I sincerely thank each one of you and the contestants in the show for our time together.”

He also thanked the team behind the show, “Lastly, I would like to thank the wonderful team at Vijay TV, as well as every crew member who has been involved in making this enterprise a grand success. I am sure the season will be yet another success.”

Kamal Haasan’s Current Projects

Kamal Haasan has been the host of Bigg Boss Tamil since its inception in 2017. Recently, he was seen as Supreme Yaksin in the blockbuster film “Kalki 2898 AD,” which achieved great success at the box office in India and globally. He also starred in “Indian 2,” reprising his role as Senapathy in the sequel to Shankar’s 1996 hit film “Indian.” Released last month, “Indian 2” received a lukewarm response in theaters but will be available on Netflix in multiple languages starting August 9.

As Kamal Haasan takes a break from Bigg Boss Tamil, fans are eagerly awaiting his return and future projects on the big screen.
