Chandigarh Police allegedly arrested Harrdy Sandhu on Saturday night for hosting an impromptu concert. Singer-actor Harrdy Sandhu was reportedly arrested in Chandigarh on Saturday evening hours before he was to perform at a fashion event.
The Tribune reported that the police took him away from the venue as there were no necessary permissions. The report further stated that Sandhu was released later but left without performing.
Harrdy Sandhu arrested by Chandigarh Police:
Popular singer Harrdy Sandhu was scheduled to perform at the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour in Chandigarh on Saturday, February 8. According to the event’s official page, he was listed as the ‘after-party headliner.’ Jacqueline Fernandez walked the ramp before he was scheduled to take the stage at the Exhibition Ground in Sector 34. The Tribune reported Chandigarh Police detained him right before his performance.
He was taken from the stage to Sector 34 police station for his performance without prior permission. Eventually, he was released after all approvals for fashion shows and music came from the organizers. Upset with organizers as well as authorities, an irritated Harrdy left the city without performing on stage. Witnesses at the event confirmed to HT that he did not take the stage on Saturday night. However, HT could not independently verify whether the singer was officially detained.
