Amid swirling divorce rumors, Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s lawyer, Lalit Bindal, confirmed that Sunita had filed for divorce six months ago. However, the couple has since resolved their differences and are back together.
Bindal, a close associate of the couple, reassured fans that their 37-year-long marriage remains intact. Speaking to India Today, he revealed that despite Sunita’s initial legal move, the duo reconciled and even celebrated the New Year in Nepal, performing a puja at the Pashupatinath Mandir.

“Everything is fine between them now. Such things happen between couples, but they are going strong and will always be together,” Bindal stated.
Family Dismisses Divorce Rumors
Govinda’s nephew, Krushna Abhishek, refuted the divorce speculations in an interview with SCREEN, saying, “Not possible. They will never do this.” Govinda’s niece, Arti Singh, also labeled the reports as false in an interview with News18.
“These are just speculations. Their bond is so strong, and they’ve built a loving relationship over the years. How can they get divorced? It’s completely untrue. People should stop spreading misinformation about their personal lives,” Arti stated.
A Look at Their Marriage
Govinda and Sunita Ahuja tied the knot in March 1987 but kept their marriage under wraps until the birth of their daughter, Tina, in 1988. The couple later welcomed their son, Yashvardhan, in 1997.
