Govinda Receives 8-10 Stitches, Expected To Be Discharged In Two Days; Daughter Visits Him In Hospital

Talking to this correspondent, Dr Agarwal explained actor Govinda’s health condition after he was treated at Mumbai’s Criti Care Hospital on Tuesday. Daughter Tina Ahuja too came calling to the hospital to see him as he was admitted there after the accident. His brother Kirti Kumar too spoke to the media about this incident.

Doctor’s Update on Govinda’s Condition

According to the doctor, Govinda is fine and has been given “around 8-10 stitches.” When asked about the discharge of the actor, he further says, “I think maximum couple of days, maybe do din mein (in two days).” He described the place where the injury was as, “Jo ghutne hota hai usse do inch niche (Two inches below the knee).

Videos and pictures of Tina outside the hospital started surfacing on social media. In one video captured by paparazzi, Tina is seen sitting in a car with pink outfit and matching cap and dark sunglasses. She did not wish the media anything and left after meeting her father.

This is the second time in less than a week that she has come to see her uncle, who is Govinda’s niece Kashmera Shah. The actor suffered an injury in his leg on Tuesday as his revolver accidentally went off at his Mumbai residence while he was getting ready to leave for the airport.

Govinda’s Brother Speaks

Govinda’s brother Kirti Kumar told the media, “Woh theek hojaye toh aaj sham ko hi ghar chale jaaye. Itna hopeful toh hai. Paer k anguthe mein goli lagi hai. Woh improve karrahe hai (If he gets well, we will take him home this evening. We are that hopeful. The bullet hit his big toe. He is improving).” He also clarified that Govinda was checking his revolver when it fell, causing the accidental discharge.

Govinda’s Statement

Govinda almost immediately recorded an audio message for his fans, “With the blessings of my fans, my parents, and god, I am doing better now. I was hit by a bullet, which has now been removed. I thank all of you for your prayers. ”

The Incident

According to Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, the incident took place around 4:45 am. For his part, Govinda had been preparing to leave for a 6 am flight to Kolkata for a show. It seems putting his licensed revolver in the cupboard accidentally pushed the trigger, and the bullet hit his leg.
