The first photograph of the attacker who allegedly stabbed Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan in his Mumbai residence has been released. The image shows the suspect glaring directly at a CCTV camera as he descends the staircase after committing the violent act.

Saif Ali Khan, 54, was repeatedly stabbed with a knife by the intruder inside his 12th-floor apartment in the upscale Bandra area in the early hours. Following emergency surgery, doctors at Lilavati Hospital confirmed that Khan was “out of danger.”

The attack was first discovered when Khan’s domestic help raised the alarm after the intruder entered the apartment. She sustained a minor hand injury during the ensuing scuffle.

According to the preliminary investigation, the intruder did not forcibly break into the apartment but is believed to have sneaked in at some point during the night. The altercation between Khan and the attacker reportedly occurred when Khan emerged after hearing the woman’s cries for help.
