Son of the late actor Nageswar Rao, the talented Akkineni Nagarjuna Rao came into the world on August 29, 1959. Born in Chennai, he later relocated with his family to Hyderabad, where he completed his schooling. Nagarjuna pursued a year of mechanical engineering at Anna University’s Kindi College of Engineering. He was married to Lashmi Dagupathi and then married Amala Akkineni. He is the father of two sons, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni.
