British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran was recently seen scooter-riding Indian music sensation Arijit Singh in Jiaganj, West Bengal. Fans and villagers alike were surprised by a video of the two riding through the village.

While on his tour of India, Sheeran made an unplanned halt in Jiaganj (Murshidabad), where he spent time with Arijit Singh. A long video in which Sheeran is shown pillion riding on Arijit’s scooter with a motley group following them has gone viral. The global pop star, who has delivered Shape of You and Perfect, enjoyed the ride without strict security to the astonishment of the locals.

Ed Sheeran in West Bengal: After the Bengaluru authorities place certain restrictions on public performances, Sheeran was spotted walking freely in Jiaganj with Arijit Singh – an experience that left all at awe. The singer was welcomed heartily by fans and locals, which made his visit even more special.

Arijit Singh and Ed Sheeran have been quite close to each other. Last September 2024, they shared the platform in London as they sang each other’s songs. Their relationship was further consolidated when Sheeran visited Jiaganj where they spent almost five hours on a scooter ride and a boat ride.

Sheeran is currently on his +-=/x India Tour. He performed in Hyderabad and Chennai before playing a surprise gig on Bengaluru’s Church Street.
However, local cops disrupted his performance in Bengaluru. Sheeran later surprised his fans by joining Shilpa Rao on stage to perform Chuttamalle from Junior NTR’s Telugu blockbuster.

The British artist intends to perform in Shillong on February 12 and Delhi-NCR on February 15, guaranteeing an unforgettable experience for his Indian audience.
