During his Dil-Luminati Tour in Manchester, Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh shared a touching moment with a fan from Pakistan. The fan’s excitement turned into a memory for life when Diljit gifted her a box of shoes and shared a message that struck a chord with the crowd.
On learning that his fan hailed from Pakistan, Diljit shared a message of unity that resonated with the audience. He said,
“Hindustan and Pakistan are the same for me. Punjabis have love for all in their hearts. The borders are drawn by politicians. Punjabis don’t care, Punjabis love everyone.
The crowd responded with thunderous applause, reinforcing his message of peace and love that transcends political boundaries.
Diljit, dressed in an all-black traditional Punjabi outfit, made sure to welcome everyone at the show. He expressed joy in seeing fans from both India and Pakistan, saying,
“I welcome those who have come from my country India and also those who have come from Pakistan.”
Another heartwarming moment from the Manchester concert involved Diljit’s family. While performing his hit track “Hass Hass,” he paused to introduce his mother and sister to the audience. Diljit lovingly held his mother’s hand and announced to the crowd,
“By the way, this is my mom.”
His mother became emotional as Diljit bowed in front of her and gave her a warm hug. He also introduced his sister, saying,
“She is my sister. My family is also here today.”
Diljit Dosanjh, known for popular tracks like “GOAT,” “Mombattiye,” “Proper Patola,” and “Do You Know?” will be bringing his Dil-Luminati Tour to India next month. The tour will kick off in New Delhi on October 26.
