De De Pyaar De 2: Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, and R Madhavan to Film Upcoming Schedule in Punjab? Here’s the Latest Update

Ajay Devgn’s 2019 hit De De Pyaar De is set for a sequel, and fans are eagerly anticipating its release. While Rakul Preet Singh will reprise her role, Tabu will not be returning, and R Madhavan is joining the cast. Recent reports reveal that the next filming schedule for the sequel will take place in Punjab this month.

According to sources, the first schedule was shot in Mumbai, but Ajay Devgn had to leave for the shoot of Son Of Sardar 2 in the UK. Now, Ajay, Rakul, and R Madhavan are set to film in Punjab starting around mid-September, with the schedule expected to last 15 to 20 days. They will return to Mumbai for additional shooting in October.

The film’s production team aims to complete De De Pyaar De 2 by the end of 2024, with post-production to follow in preparation for its release on May 1, 2025. In the sequel, R Madhavan is set to play Ajay Devgn’s father. Despite some on-screen conflict, their interactions are expected to be mostly comedic.

No romantic scenes are planned for the Punjab shoot; filming will primarily take place inside a bungalow and in fields. Preparations are underway to ensure a smooth shoot. Directed by Anshul Sharma, who takes over from Akiv Ali, De De Pyaar De 2 is produced by Luv Ranjan and Bhushan Kumar. The film is also rumored to feature an exciting cameo.
