Critics’ Choice Awards 2025: Full List of Winners Across Films, Web Series, Documentaries, and Short Films

Film Critics Guild has released the winners of the Critics’ Choice Awards 2025 that celebrate excellence in various categories like feature films, web series, short films, and documentaries. The Best Documentary category was a new addition for this year with Nocturnes winning its award for narrative storytelling.

Most Popular Winners of Feature Films

In the feature films category, Best Feature Film went to ‘All We Imagine As Light’, in appreciation for its artistic excellence and robust narrative. Diljit Dosanjh received the Best Actor award for his extraordinary performance in ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’. Evidencing gratitude, he stated:

“Thanks to the Film Critics Guild for this award, bohot bohot shukriya for choosing me as deserving of this honor. I dedicate this award to Amar Singh Chamkila and to Imtiaz sir, who nurtured this gorgeous film. I just had the opportunity to be a part of it. It was all Imtiaz sir’s hard work. A huge thank you to the entire cast and crew of the film.”

Darshana Rajendran received the Best Actress award for her commanding performance in Paradise. Ravi Kishan took home the Best Supporting Actor award for Laapataa Ladies, and Kani Kusruti received the Best Supporting Actress award for her impactful performance in Girls Will Be Girls.

Web Series: Poacher Takes the Lead

In the web series category, Poacher was the biggest gainer, taking home Best Web Series. Best Actress for her performance in the series was taken home by Nimisha Sajayan and Best Actor by Barun Sobti for ‘Raat Jawaan Hai’.

Short Films and Documentaries: Standout Winners

The short film section was swept by Obur, who also won Best Short Film, among other awards. Harish Khanna emerged as Best Actor for Jal Tu Jalaal Tu, while Jyoti Dogra won Best Actress for Taak (Tracker).

Nocturnes was the Best Documentary in the documentary section, having edged out powerful competitors such as Against the Tide and The Midwife’s Confession.
