Chhattisgarh and Goa CMs Applaud The Sabarmati Report

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai attended a special screening of The Sabarmati Report in Raipur on Thursday. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao joined him. Sai praised the film, saying, “It’s a good movie. The country and the entire world will know the truth of the Godhra incident.”

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant also appreciated the film. He announced plans to make it tax-free in Goa. “After watching this movie, I am considering making it tax-free in Goa; we will implement this decision in a few days,” he said.

Tax Breaks in Key States

The film is already tax-free in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. After the screening, Sawant shared his thoughts. “Today, I watched The Sabarmati Report along with my party’s state president and ministers. Very few filmmakers focus on real facts, and this film is based on a true incident. I congratulate the producer and actors for their commendable work,” he said.

Yogi Adityanath Supports the Film

Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath watched the film with its cast. He praised lead actor Vikrant Massey and the team. “Vikrant Massey and his team have made a commendable effort. I express my heartfelt gratitude on behalf of Uttar Pradesh,” he said.

Adityanath also highlighted the film’s importance. “The people of the country have the right to know the truth about the efforts made to create animosity in society. We will make this film tax-free in the state to promote it further,” he added.

Prime Minister Modi Reacts

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also praised the film. He shared his thoughts on X after watching the trailer. He called it a significant film that reveals the “truth” about the 2002 Godhra train incident.

About the Film

The Sabarmati Report focuses on the burning of the S-6 coach of the Sabarmati Express in Godhra. Dheeraj Sarna directed the film, while Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan, and Anshul Mohan produced it. The cast includes Vikrant Massey, Raashii Khanna, and Ridhi Dogra.

With strong endorsements and tax exemptions, the film has sparked widespread attention for its bold storytelling.
