Bruce Springsteen Hits Billionaire Status: How He Made His Fortune

Bruce Springsteen, the legendary rock musician known for hits like ‘Badlands’ and ‘Hungry Heart,’ has reached billionaire status. At 74, he now has a net worth of $1.1 billion, according to Forbes.

How He Got There

Springsteen made a huge leap in wealth in 2021 when he sold his music catalog to Sony for between $500 million and $550 million. This sale was the largest ever for a single artist’s music collection.

In 2023, Springsteen earned $380 million from selling over 1.6 million concert tickets. This, along with his music catalog sale, has helped him become one of the richest musicians in the world.

Other Sources of Income and Achievements

Springsteen also made a lot of money from his Broadway show, ‘Springsteen on Broadway,’ which made over $113 million from 267 performances.

He has won 20 Grammy Awards, an Oscar, and a special Tony Award. He was also honored with the Kennedy Center Honors in 2009 and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016.

What’s Next for Springsteen

Even though he had to cancel some shows in 2023 due to health issues, Springsteen is currently touring Europe. His next concert is in Norway on July 21.

He recently worked with Zach Bryan on a song called ‘Sandpaper,’ which is on Bryan’s new album. Bruce Springsteen is also set to be featured in a biopic based on his memoir Deliver Me from Nowhere, starring Jeremy Allen White from The Bear.
