‘Mummy Kaisi Hai…?’: B Praak Pulls Out of Ranveer Allahbadia’s Podcast Over ‘India’s Got Latent’ Remarks

Indian singer and music director B Praak has declined an invitation to YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast after the latter made inappropriate remarks on comedian Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent. Calling the incident “pathetic,” B Praak emphasized the importance of respecting comedy and urged all panel members on the show to uphold that standard.

B Praak took to Instagram to voice his disappointment over Ranveer Allahbadia’s sexually offensive remark, announcing that he would no longer participate in the scheduled podcast episode. He strongly condemned the language used in the episode, calling it “pathetic” and against Indian culture. Expressing disbelief, he criticized the nature of the stories shared about parents and the way they were discussed, asserting that such content cannot be classified as comedy or stand-up comedy.

B Praak also criticized comedian Jaspreet Singh for encouraging the use of abusive language, questioning the values of the current generation. He specifically called out Jaspreet, who is a Sikh, asking whether such behavior aligns with the principles of the Sikh community. Praak expressed his disapproval of Singh openly defending the use of expletives on Instagram.

B Praak strongly criticized the growing trend of using and promoting abusive language, questioning the values being instilled in the younger generation. He specifically called out comedian Jaspreet Singh, highlighting the contradiction in his actions as a Sikh.

“Logon ko gaaliyan dena, logon ko gaaliyan sikhana – yeh kaunsi generation hai? Mujhe samajh nahi aa raha, yeh generation hai kaunsi? Aur dekho, ek Sardar ji aate hain… Sardar ji, aapko pata hai ki aap ek Sikh ho aur aapko yeh cheez shobha deti hai? ‘Mummy kaisi hai?’ Are you crazy? Aap kya sikh de rahe ho logon ko? Aap kya sikh de rahe ho? Aur woh Sardar ji apne Instagram pe bilkul daalte hain ke main gaaliyan deta hoon, toh isme kya problem hai? Humein problem hai aur rahegi.” he said in a video clip.

He also took aim at Ranveer Allahbadia, pointing out the contradiction in his public persona. While Ranveer often promotes Sanatan Dharma and spirituality on his podcast, inviting renowned spiritual leaders, Praak argued that his actions reflect a degrading mindset. He firmly stated that such thinking is unacceptable and must continue to be challenged.

Appealing to comedians, including Samay Raina and his fellow panelists, Praak urged them to avoid creating content that could negatively influence future generations. He warned that if such content persists, it will have serious consequences for the youth.

With folded hands, he made a heartfelt request to preserve Indian culture and use their platforms to inspire and uplift audiences rather than spreading harmful ideas. Given their widespread influence, Praak believes they have a responsibility to promote content that educates and positively impacts society.
