Saira Banu, AR Rahman’s estranged wife, is reportedly in a critical state following a medical emergency and surgery. This was confirmed by the lawyer, Vandana Shah, through an official statement. The very nature of the emergency has yet to be conveyed.
At present, she is on a path to recovery. Banu has expressed her gratitude towards the people who have stood by her side at this time and requested a little privacy during the period of her troublesome recovery.

In an official statement shared via Instagram, Vandana Shah stated, “On behalf of our client, Mrs. Saira Rahman, we would like to make a statement concerning the health condition of her dear self. While she was hospitalized a few days ago, she had surgery due to a medical emergency. Her priority remains a speedy recovery.”

Furthermore, she expressed her appreciation to those backing her, particularly the unyielding encouragement and support of Resul Pookutty, his wife Shadia, and AR Rahman himself: “She is very thankful for the love and prayers offered to her from well-wishers; her heart finds shelter in her friends from Los Angeles, Resul Pookutty, and Shadia; their kindness during this moment of difficulty has been wonderful.”
