Anushka Shetty’s Ghaati Set for Global Release on April 18, 2025

Anushka Shetty’s much-anticipated film Ghaati will hit theatres worldwide on April 18, 2025. The makers announced this on Sunday via X (formerly Twitter). They shared a striking poster and wrote, “The Queen, at her best, will reign at the box office. #Ghaati GRAND RELEASE WORLDWIDE ON 18th APRIL, 2025 in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.”

A New Avatar for Anushka in Ghaati

Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, Ghaati will showcase Anushka in a completely different role. The first-look poster, released in November, shows her smoking a pipe with intense expressions. The tagline, “Victim, criminal, legend,” hints at her character’s complex journey.

Anushka Reunites with Director Krish

This is Anushka’s second collaboration with Krish after their successful 2010 film Vedam. Fans are eager to see their reunion on-screen in Ghaati.

Anushka’s Malayalam Debut in Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer

Anushka Shetty will also make her Malayalam debut in Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer, directed by Rojin Thomas. She plays Nila, a weaver, alongside Jayasurya. The teaser, released in November, gave a glimpse of her character.

Kathanar Teaser and Excitement Build

The announcement for Kathanar came on Anushka’s birthday. The makers said, “Wishing a magical birthday to our dear Anushka Shetty! We are excited to reveal her captivating character in KATHANAR – The Wild Sorcerer.” The film is produced by Gokulam Gopalan and features Prabhu Deva and Vineeth in key roles.
