Alia Bhatt celebrated Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s birthday in Mumbai on Monday evening. She joined her Love and War co-stars, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, for the occasion. Later, she shared pictures on Instagram, highlighting the grand birthday cake. Additionally, she took a moment to praise Vicky Kaushal for the massive success of Chhaava.

First, Alia posted a picture where she smiled behind Vicky. Meanwhile, Bhansali sat between Vicky and Ranbir, also smiling. In front of them, a large chocolate cake displayed the words “Happy Birthday.” Moreover, two small candles decorated the cake. In another picture, Vicky was seen taking a piece for himself.
Next, in her caption, Alia wrote, “A quick break from night shoots to celebrate our director (sparkles emoji). Happy birthday magician sir (and happy 3 to our Gangu too) & lastly many many cheers and claps for @vickykaushal09 absolutely smashing the box office with Chhaava!!! Alia Praises Chhaava
Previously, Alia had shared her thoughts on Chhaava. Notably, she praised Vicky Kaushal’s performance as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. On Instagram Stories, she wrote, “Vicky Kaushal! What are you????? Cannot get over your performance in Chhaava! @vickykaushal09.”
Furthermore, Laxman Utekar directed the film, which released on February 14. Since then, Chhaava has crossed ₹300 crore, making it the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025. The film is based on Shivaji Sawant’s Marathi novel of the same name.
Alia’s Upcoming Projects
Meanwhile, Alia is currently filming Love and War, which marks her second collaboration with Bhansali after Gangubai Kathiawadi. Not only did she receive widespread acclaim for the role, but she also won a National Award. In addition, she has Alpha, co-starring Sharvari, in the pipeline.
