On Sushant Singh Rajput’s 35th birth anniversary, many Bollywood celebrities took to social media and paid tribute to the late actor. Sushant’s sister Shweta announced a scholarship programme for aspiring students of physics to pursue further studies at the Department of Physics at the UC Berkley. She wrote: “I am happy to announce that on 35th Birthday of Bhai, a step has been taken towards fulfilling one of his dreams. The Sushant Singh Rajput Memorial Fund of $35,000 has been set up in UC Berkeley.”
His fans flooded the internet with memories of Sushant. Bhumi Pednekar shared Sushant’s picture on Instagram in which he is smiling. Ankita Lokhande shared a throwback video where Sushant is playing with their pet labrador and wrote: “I don’t know how to start and what to say but I’m gonna share few of your old videos to celebrate you. These are the only memories I have with you and I will always remember you like this happy, intelligent, romantic, mad and adorable #scotch always missed you and now he misses you more. I pray and I know tum jaha ho waha bahut khush ho Happy Birthday to you will be missed.” Director Abhishek Kapoor posted a throwback picture with the late actor and wrote: “Burdayboy! Miss karta hoon yaar tujhe.” Rajkummar Rao shared a picture of Sushant in which he is playing guitar.
Siddharth Gupta, who lived with Sushant for almost a year, shared a sweet birthday wish for him on Instagram, “Happiest Birthday my Bhai. I miss you so much. All the knowledge and wisdom you imparted on me and everyone you touched in your life will take your legacy forward. Thanks for making me understand consciousness, teaching me how to love without conditions. Thanks for changing my life and helping me find myself. Today I look up in the sky and smile cause I know you are smiling back. My Alien brother.” Manoj Bajpayee wrote, “I will always remember you, celebrate you, your work and cherish all the time that we all spent with you Sushant Singh! Jahan bhi ho tum khush raho.” Ekta Kapoor shared a video of Sushant from his ‘Pavitra Rishta’ days and wrote, “Sushi forever! Shining bright like a star! Love n light wherever you are! Happy Birth on earth day!” Kiara Advani also remembered Sushant by sharing a throwback picture. Mukesh Chhabra, who directed him in ‘Dil Bechara’, dropped a collage of the various avatars in which Sushant had appeared onscreen.
