BMW has officially unveiled its high-performance M5 Touring at the Monterey Car Week in California, marking the global introduction of this exciting new model. The M5 Touring, a variant of the recently updated M5 sedan, brings a host of enhancements while retaining much of the sedan’s core characteristics. Initially, the model will be available in the US, with plans to extend to other markets in the future.

Engine and Performance

Under the hood, the M5 Touring features the same 4.4-liter turbo V8 petrol engine found in the sedan. This powerhouse generates 576 bhp between 5,600 and 6,500 rpm and 750 Nm of torque between 1,800 and 5,400 rpm, delivering a total output of 727 bhp and 1000 Nm of torque. The M5 Touring can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 304 km/h. Additionally, the electric variant offers a range of up to 68 km.

Design Enhancements

While retaining the core engine, the M5 Touring boasts several design tweaks. It features a raked roofline, flared wheel arches, and stylish alloy wheels with yellow-finished calipers.
