tions of the principal opposition Congress party overwhelmed with victory on five parliamentary seats, the saffron Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has marked a third consecutive historic win in the Haryana assembly elections here on October 8 by winning 48 out of 90 assembly seats, which clearly showcases it’s strength while Congress has won 37 seats with an increase of 6 seats as compared to assembly polls held in 2019.

After the counting process started at 8 am, initially Congress took the lead indicating its a one-sided victory. However, as the counting of votes progressed, the BJP made a spectacular comeback around 10 AM getting an edge at least on 50 seats.

It is noteworthy that official information shared by the Election Commission revealed that a total of 67.90% voting was reported in Haryana, which is slightly less than the 68.20% of the last election.

Political experts are of the opinion that Key factors which contributed to the tremendous victory of BJP, comprises polarisation of OBC vote bank, prevailing infighting in Congress party and better organisational management of the saffron party.

Political experts opine that the victory of the BJP has created a wave of enthusiasm among the workers and supporters and in this row, the challenge before acting Chief Minister Nayab Saini is to reach new heights of development and good governance during his tenure.
