Feedback from all 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana has reached Union Home Minister Amit Shah, including the report cards of sitting MPs in the state. Another report has been given to Home Minister Shah regarding the Lok Sabha constituencies where new faces are likely to be fielded. The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Haryana affairs in-charge Biplab Kumar Deb met Shah in New Delhi on Monday and apprised him of these details.
The BJP has spent a great deal of time preparing for its “Mission 2024”. Rallies have been held in each Lok Sabha constituency as part of these preparations. Home Minister Shah kicked off the inaugural rally in Sirsa. Now, the party is organising Panna Pramukh conferences in all 90 circles. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won all 10 Lok Sabha seats in the state. However, the Ambala seat has been vacant since May, following the passing of incumbent MP Ratanlal Kataria. There is still a dilemma regarding the by-election in Ambala. Sources say that the party in-charge has also given Home Minister Shah feedback regarding the by-election. Deb has laid the groundwork in all 10 Lok Sabha constituencies and it is believed that the BJP might field new faces in at least six seats this time
A survey to find the appropriate seats is ongoing. The party is searching for strong faces for each Lok Sabha constituency. Union Minister and Gurugram MP Rao Inderjit Singh and Faridabad MP and Union Minister Krishnapal Gurjar are likely to contest again. Karnal MP Sanjay Bhatia is keen to contest the assembly elections from Panipat City. Kurukshetra MP Nayab Singh Saini is also said to be interested in contesting the Assembly elections from Narayangarh this time. Sonipat MP Ramesh Chandra Kaushik is trying to establish his son in electoral politics. Bhiwani-Mahendragarh MP Dharmbir Singh has also made public his desire to contest the assembly elections several times.
The party is also taking the unfavourable statements of Rohtak MP Dr Arvind Sharma and Hisar MP Brijendra Singh seriously. Former Union Minister Chaudhary Birendra Singh has also made several statements against the party recently. However, Arvind Sharma is no longer commenting on the Chief Minister. Sunita Duggal is currently the MP from Sirsa. If sources are to be believed, in the party’s internal survey, the party has identified Sirsa as a weak seat. Sources say Deb informed the Union Minister about the upcoming organisational programs in the state. CM Manohar Lal Khattar is also continuing his public dialogue programs in the districts. The CM has been engaging in public dialogue with citizens and taking feedback on the schemes and programs of the Central and State governments. He has also been taking immediate action against negligent government officials as per public grievances.
