Monday’s proceedings in the Delhi assembly were tumultuous as Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal prepared to present the motion for confidence. During the uproar, deputy speaker Rakhi Birla briefly instructed the opposition to adjourn for the day.
All the BJP MLAs were escorted out of the legislature after they all protested and demanded a discussion on various topics by jumping into the house’s well.
Arvind Kejriwal the chief minister of Delhi and convener of the AAP, declared in the assembly on Friday that he would introduce a “confidence motion” to show Delhi residents that “the BJP has failed to buy any AAP MLAs” in the city. The BJP has disputed the AAP’s assertions, claiming that instead of replying to inquiries about the excise policy that the CBI is looking into, the Delhi government was engaging in “theatrics” to divert attention.
