The Congress party has been demanding a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the Adani issue. The recently concluded budget session experienced a lot of hue and cry in Parliament regarding the issue.

Haryana BJP President Om Prakash Dhankar slammed the Congress on Sunday for subjecting the government to a Joint Parliamentary Committee investigation into the Adani case. He went on to say that the Congress party has been supporting external forces that want to weaken the country.

While speaking to a leading news agency, Dhankar said Congress has been raising its voice in support of a report issued against the country. Such behaviour serves no purpose other than to weaken the country. An outsider has been raising a voice amid the country’s leadership,”We need to be on the same platform, but the Congress’ stance is different.”

“The grand old party should ask questions within the country but should avoid standing with the government’s opponent,” he said.

While Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the prime minister of the country at that time, the answers of the external forces were given unitedly. Currently, things have changed.

Opposition parties pressed their demand for a proper investigation of Adani Group since US short-seller Hindenburg Research accused the company of engaging in “brazen stock manipulation and accounting fraud” over decades.
