Former Chief Minister and leader of the opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that the BJP-JJP alliance has completely failed to deliver on public expectations and implement their election manifesto. This is the reason why today no section is happy with this coalition government.
Hooda, who had come today to participate in the program of Rohtak Bar Council, said that Congress is fully prepared for the elections in Haryana. “The party has been continuously reaching out to the public for the last 5 years. Congress is raising the voice of the people from the House to the streets, while the BJP-JJP are busy enjoying the pleasures of power,” he said.

The former Chief Minister said the coming government in the state will be of Congress and the party will fulfill every promise made in its manifesto. “The BJP-JJP have cheated the public only in the name of election announcements. All the promises like Rs 5100 pension to the elderly, reservation in 75% jobs, guarantee of MSP, double income of farmers, providing permanent house to every family proved to be a lie,” he said.

“Not only this, this government also stopped the welfare schemes run during the Congress tenure. The schemes of providing free 100 yard plots to the poor, stipend to children of poor families and giving 35 kg of grains, pulses, sugar and salt to every family from the ration depot have been discontinued,” he said.

“Backward class reservation was snatched away by reducing the limit of family ID and creamy layer from 8 lakh to 6 lakh. Youth suffering from unemployment are today leaving the state and the country. A large number of youth are getting trapped in the quagmire of drugs and crime,” he added.

In response to the question regarding Ram temple, Hooda said Lord Ram is the symbol of everyone’s faith. “Rajiv Gandhi ji was the first to open the doors of Ram temple. There was a Congress government at the center and Rajiv Gandhi was the Prime Minister. During his rule, the doors of the temple which were closed for years were opened,” he said.
“Rajiv Gandhi, in coordination with Bir Bahadur Singh, got the locks of the temple opened and after which the foundation stone was laid in Ayodhya on November 9, 1989. Lord Ram should not be associated with any party, He is worshiped and revered by everyone,” he added.
